Jacqueline Albert Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Albert, 74, of Newington, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her family by her side. Jackie was the daughter of Maria (Daigle) Albert and the late Luc Albert. Raised in Manchester, she attended East Catholic High School and went on to earn an associate degree from Graham Junior College in Boston. She worked as a paralegal at law firms in the Hartford area, she was employed at the FDIC and, more recently, for the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection where she was a dedicated and valued employee until her retirement. Jackie enjoyed walks in her neighborhood, tending to her flower garden, dinner with friends, and watching movies and reading with her cat, Tess, on her lap. She was known for her culinary skills, her disco dancing, strong sense of organization, and her warm, infectious smile that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Maria; sisters Denise Ryan and her husband Michael, Renee Zerio and her husband Danny, Lucie Carangelo and her husband Jim; her beloved niece and nephews Matthew, Patrick, Zack, Tyler, Catherine, Jimmy and Jack; great-nieces and nephews; Aunt Muriel Roy; and many cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her father, Luc, and her stepfather, Ely Kasparian. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many healthcare workers, especially Colleen and Amanda, for their kindness and exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CT Children's Hospital (https://www.connecticutchildrensfoundation.org/) or Special Olympics Glastonbury (c/o Kris-Ann Race, 62 Russett Road, Glastonbury, CT 06033.) The calling hours will be held on Monday, June 9, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, 27 Adams Street S., Manchester, on Tuesday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at St. James Cemetery. The family kindly requests that attendees go directly to the Church. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Jacqueline "Jackie", please visit our floral store.
