WINSTED - James Michael Perotti, lovingly known as Mike, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and community spirit on May 6, 2025. Mike shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Judy. Their love and partnership were the foundation of a warm and welcoming home. Together, they built a family rooted in laughter, support, and strong values. Mike was a proud and devoted father to Adam and Kristen, whose accomplishments and lives brought him immense joy and pride. Mike was also a loving grandfather to Tyler, Lauren, Blaze, Enzo, and Maverick-each of whom brought him immeasurable happiness and pride. His face would light up when he talked about his grandkids, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Mike was a devoted brother to Robert and David, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and deep connection. The bond between the brothers was unbreakable, and their love and support for one another remained strong through every stage of life. Whether gathering for holidays, helping one another with projects, or simply spending time together, Mike treasured the closeness they shared. Mike found great fulfillment in his work at Winsted Hospital, where his compassion and dedication touched the lives of countless patients and coworkers. His passion for service extended beyond the hospital walls-he was a proud and active member of the local fire department, where he especially cherished participating in the annual fireman's carnival. An avid outdoorsman, Mike found joy in taking his family to New Hampshire for hiking and camping trips-creating memories that will be treasured forever. He was also a dedicated member of the Northwest Rod and Gun Club, where he took part in turkey shoots and club outings with enthusiasm that was unmatched. Those events weren't just hobbies to Mike-they were part of who he was. Mike was deeply loved by his family and friends. Mike was well respected throughout his community as his warmth, humor, and generosity left a mark on everyone who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 12, 2025 at the Knights of Columbus, 122 Marshall Street, Winsted, CT from 11 - 4 PM. People are welcome to come and go as they please or stay for the whole event. Mike's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him.
