Jane Delaney Obituary

Jane was born on October 3,1932 in Gilsum, New Hampshire. She worked for the state at Long Lane School in Middletown CT and was a proud union member. Known for her quick wit and warm heart, Jane found joy in playing card games like bridge and setback, watching tennis, Jane Delaney of Middletown CT passed away peacefully on October 8 at the age of 93. Jane will be remembered by her daughters Jackie Siegel of Southington, Maureen Tosto of Middletown, sons Michael and John Delaney of Middletown, James Delaney of Wethersfield, son's in-law Richard Tosto and Robert Young of Middletown, and daughter in-law Anna Delaney of Wethersfield, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane was predeceased by her late husband John Paul Delaney Jr., daughters Deborah Young and Kathleen Gionfriddo of Middletown, and grandsons Peter Young of Middletown and Adam Siegel of Southington. crosswords, and staying up to date on the world's current events. Jane's favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren. Beach vacations with them were her greatest joy, making memories that will last a lifetime. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 14th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Doolittle Funeral Home on 14 Old Church Street, Middletown CT.
