Jane F. Thaller

Jane (Beauvais) Thaller, 88, wife of the late Frank Thaller, of Bloomfield, passed away June 11, 2025 in UConn John Dempsey Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Ira, Michigan, daughter of the late Philip and Veronica (Baumgartner) Beauvais, and was proud to have grown up on a working farm. Prior to her retirement, Jane was a teacher, later moved on to a management position at Cigna, and finally spent many years working at the St. Francis Hospital Women's Auxiliary Gift Shop. Being civically minded, she served a term on the Bloomfield Town Council, was as a Justice of the Peace, marrying hundreds of couples, and volunteered with both the Bloomfield PTA and Northwest Catholic High School. Jane enjoyed playing the piano, organ and accordion and loved watching sports, especially the UConn Women's Basketball Team. She was very proud of achieving her Masters Degree in Business Administration at RPI later in life. However, her greatest pride and joy was her family. Jane will be greatly missed by her children, Mark Thaller and his wife Kate of VA, Glenn Thaller and his wife Lisa of NC, Kurt Thaller and his wife Carol of MA, Gregg Thaller and his wife Ana Maria of PA, Paul Thaller and his wife Kathy of South Windsor, and Joye Thaller of MA, as well as 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters, Joyce Beauvais and Charlene Smith, both of MI. Friends may call on Friday June 20, 2025 from 10:00 to 10:45 am at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Avenue, Bloomfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Jane's life will be held at 11:00 am in the church. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield.
