Janet Marquez

With our deepest sadness, we announce the passing of our Janet (Rosario) Marquez, 57, on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at her home, as she entered into God's kingdom. Janet was born on June 21, 1968, in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, a daughter to Francisca "Panchi" Pagan and the late Antonio Rosario. She was the devoted and loving mother of three sons: Victor, Joel, and Javier Marquez, whom she raised with their father, Victor Marquez Sr. A longtime resident of Waterbury, Janet was known for her kind heart, warm spirit, and generosity. She brought light and joy to everyone she met, forming lifelong friendships with both family and colleagues. She was especially loved by her extended work family at Costco, where she dedicated many years and made countless cherished memories. Janet is survived by her three sons; Victor, Joel, and Javier Marquez, her mother; Francisca "Panchi"; her siblings; Carmen and Hector; a large, loving family of relatives and dear friends. Her presence, laughter, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In her final days, Janet was comforted and uplifted by the many visits from family, friends, and the compassionate nurses from VITAS Healthcare, who came to see her at home. She was deeply thankful for each moment of care, love, and connection. Rest in peace, Janet until we meet again.
