Janette DeBiase Obituary

Waterbury, CT Janette Dolores DeBiase "Loving cousin" Janette Dolores "Ginger" DeBiase, 88, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the VITAS Hospice Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. Janette was born in Waterbury, CT on April 4, 1937, daughter of the late John and Veronica (Roach) DeBiase. She was educated at local schools and attained her Bachelor and Master's Degrees from Southern Connecticut State University in the fields of education and health. She had taught in both Catholic School as well as the Waterbury Public School System for many years. Moreover, Janette served as the facilitator of English as a Second Language Program for 10 years at Waterbury Adult Education. Janette was well liked by her students and she always placed students first. Janette is survived by several cousins including, Thomas F. (Suzanne) DeBiase of Waterbury, CT, Richard DeBiase of FL, Donald DeBiase of FL, Robert DeBiase of CA and Michael DeBiase of CA. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael DeBiase. Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave., Waterbury, CT. Everyone attending is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT has been entrusted with Janette's arrangements.
