Jean Apuzzo Obituary
Jean M. Apuzzo, 81, of East Haven, beloved wife of Andrew A. "Augie" Apuzzo for over 60 years, passed away on May 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 19,1944 in New Haven to the late Joseph and Marguerite Fappiano and grew up in the Morris Cove section of New Haven. Together, Jean and Augie spent 40 plus years wintering in Florida between Lehigh Acres and more recently West Palm Beach. She loved to travel, especially with family on cruises and vacations to Lake Winnepesaukee. Jean especially loved her family and spending quality time cooking for them and hosting Sunday dinners. She was known at the annual family Apuzzo Christmas party for the contribution of her famous "Lazy Lasagna". Besides being a great and loving mom, her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her husband Andrew, Jean is survived by her children Ann-Marie (Joseph) Mirmina of Milford, Deborah Maselli of East Haven, Andrew L. (Carol) Apuzzo of East Haven, Donna (Glen) Button of Wallingford, her daughter-in-law Jill Apuzzo of Madison.

The family would like to thank the staff at Apple Rehab Laurel Woods for their compassionate care for Jean since January. We also owe a deep gratitude to Tammy Harmon for being a devoted caretaker for our mom for the past 2 years. She especially enjoyed her outings with Tammy to play Bingo, get her hair and nails done and the RT80 diner.
