Jean Conley Morrison, 103, of West Hartford, formerly of Enfield, died at home on October 8, 2025. She was a warm and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, wife and friend. Born on June 7, 1922 to Helen Denham Conley and Herbert Patrick Conley at home in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, Jean attended local schools and graduated from Enfield High School in 1939 where she was Secretary of her class.
In 1943, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Francis H. Morrison, Jr., who was then serving as a naval officer, and who, after WWII in 1946, went on to work as an engineer and senior executive at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford and who predeceased her in 1989.
Jean was also predeceased by her brother William Conley, of Groton, Massachusetts, and a grandson William Morrison Jr. of Wilmington, Delaware.
Jean is survived by her two beloved sons whom she and Frank raised in Enfield: Francis H. Morrison III and his wife Sally of Charlotte, NC and William P. Morrison and his wife Sherri of Biltmore Forest, NC.
Her surviving grandchildren and their spouses include: Brian Morrison (Katie) of Forest Park, IL; Kelley Kennedy (Patrick) of Acworth, GA; Matthew Morrison (Elizabeth) of Charlotte, NC; Gregory Morrison (Jennifer) of Lutz, FL; and Christopher Morrison (Heather) of Alexandria, VA. Jean is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
The family is grateful to Carla Smith for her 6 years of 24/7 love and caring for Jean. Our good Lord blessed Jean with a very full measure of life, and as she often said, "You don't go until your place is ready." And, as she told her Gerontologist at her last visit, "I'm ready."
