Jesse DeMayo Obituary
Jesse DeMayo, 54 of East Haven passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2025 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Jesse was the loving husband of Tracy (Malicki) DeMayo. He was born in New Haven on December 4, 1970. Jesse had a passion for collecting and hunting for GI Joes, slot cars, trains, and any type of old toys. He would always "wheel and deal" at the flea markets and bargain with his friends that were collectors. He loved going to car shows and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family, especially hanging out with his nephews. Jesse loved being social, going out to eat, the Elm Salad at The Elm Diner in West Haven was his favorite. Jesse was always with his dog from car rides to training classes and of course many hours of snuggle time. Some of the best memories his family has of him were riding the golf cart around his neighborhood, BBQ's, family dinners, pizza nights, trips to the casino, and annual trips to Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. He enjoyed the time with his friends going out to eat, motorcycle rides to Dunkin, Hamden Reunions, and countless hours on the phone. He was a member of the Elm City Gun Club and was a Custodian for the New Haven Board of education for over 25 years. He started his career at Wilbur Cross High School where he met his wife. He spent countless hours there between work, school dances, helping his wife with Volleyball events, car wash fundraisers, or anything his wife would willingly drag him into. He worked at multiple schools throughout his career but was currently working at Clinton Avenue School. He enjoyed the connections he made with staff and students over the years. Jesse will be missed by anyone who knew him, and will be remembered as being a loving, caring and funny guy. Jesse is survived by his loving wife Tracy, his dog Olive, his father George (Lori) DeMayo, his mother Shirley (Glenn) Murano, his siblings Matthew (Jennifer) DeMayo, Sara (Jason) Ott, his brother-in-law William (Jackie) Malicki, his mother-in-law Judy Malicki, his Aunt LeeAnne Scott, his Uncle Andrew Dufault, his nephews Brian and Justin Malicki, Anthony DeMayo, Austin and Landon Ott, his nieces Alexis DeMayo and Autumn Ott, many loving cousins especially Al "Buddy" Cody, many, many special friends who he loved, and his "chosen daughter" Natalie Jimenez.
