Joanna Beata Czaderna

March 31 1958 - October 26 2025 Joanna Beata Czaderna, 67, of Woodbury, CT, passed away at home with her loved ones by her side on October 26, 2025, after a long struggle with cancer. She was born in Krakow, Poland on March 31, 1958, daughter of Zofia and Wieslaw Gamaj. When she first immigrated to the United States with her husband Janusz in the 1980's, Joanna worked in Westport as a caretaker, then managed a bed & breakfast called The Cotswald Inn for a number of years, also in Westport. After moving to Woodbury with her second husband Matt, she helped him to run his art business. While excelling at the business side, Joanna's true love was restoring art - especially Catholic art - and finishing and restoring furniture. She also volunteered much of her time later in life to helping the Church and various Catholic organizations. Beyond Joanna's talents in caretaking, hospitality, and the arts, she will above all be remembered for being a devoted, loving, and self-sacrificing wife, mother, and sister. Joanna is survived by one daughter, Bianca, her husband Matt, and her sister Agnes. Joanna's strong faith was an inspiration to many. She had asked above all for prayers for soul after her passing. A Requiem Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Church in Waterbury, CT on Wednesday, November 5, at 12 noon.
