John Blake Obituary

John Joseph Blake, III, 61, of West Haven passed away on February 6, 2025 at Yale New Haven Hospital after suffering a stroke. John was born in Meriden on October 3, 1963. He graduated from West Haven High School and worked for many years as a carpenter and painter. John enjoyed fishing, video games, raising his tropical fish, playing pool, snorkeling and scuba diving. He is survived by his long-time partner, Tammy Malone, his sister, Cynthia Morgan (Ray Sullivan) of Stratford, his niece, Katie Morgan DePasquale (Tony) of Boston, MA, and his nephew, Patrick Morgan (Abby) of Ellington, CT. He was predeceased by his father, John Blake, Jr., his mother, Charlotte Blake, his sister Carolyn Blake and his brother-in-law, Daniel Morgan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Vianney Church, 300 Captain Thomas Boulevard, West Haven at 11 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, 871 Campbell Avenue, West Haven. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of John J. Blake III, please visit our floral store.
