John Galbraith Obituary

John Galbraith, 86, of Enfield, CT, passed away on March 11, 2025, at Manchester Hospital. He was born on April 26, 1938, in Boston, MA, to Howard and Edna (Kirby) Galbraith. John grew up in North Conway, NH, and graduated from Kennett High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and later began working at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT. He proudly served in the Air Force for 26 years. On September 17, 1966, John married the love of his life, Susanne (Beauregard) Galbraith, and together they built their home in Enfield, CT. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, their two sons, Robert Galbraith and James Galbraith, and their daughter, Katherine Lee and her husband, William. John was predeceased by his sister, Joan Galbraith. John had a passion for classic cars, especially his 1940 Ford V8 Deluxe. He loved watching old movies and, above all, cherished time spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren. He was a proud member of the American Legion, Amvets, and a Master Mason.
