I met Jack in second grade at St. Rita´s school in Hamden. We played some pranks while there that earned us a trip to Monsignor Daly´s office which was well worth the fun we had. I went to school with Jack from St. Rita´s right through UNH. After graduation, we both worked as railroad police officers. After our law enforcement careers were over, Jack went to work for Metro North and I went to law school. Upon graduation, Jack recommended me to serve as one of Metro North´s attorneys. I owe Jack a life-long debt of gratitude for that. Working together professionally for years was an absolute pleasure. Jack taught me a lot about the ins and outs of handling claims against the railroad. We socialized often, enjoying everything from lunch, dinner, golf trips and more. As everyone must know, if you were in Jack´s company, you were going to enjoy it immensely. He and I pranked people well into our fifties. Jack was a lifelong friend and one of the greatest guys I have ever known. May he rest in peace in God´s arms.
