Joseph E. DiFrancesco

Joseph E. DiFrancesco, age 58, unexpectedly passed through Heaven's gate on May 27, 2025, leaving family and friends heartbroken. Formerly of Hamden, CT, Joey resided in California for over 26 years. It was there he enjoyed the warm, sunny weather, new opportunities, along with many cherished friends, some of which were like a second family. Joey leaves behind his beloved family, namely his father Emilio DiFrancesco, mother Adair Balsamo, his 5 sisters Donna DiFrancesco, Gina Forsa, Lisa DiFrancesco, Susan Dercole (Edward) and Karyn DiFrancesco along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew. Joey worked in retail sales for most of his life and had a soft spot for rescue dogs, the most current being his beloved Chihuahua Nina. As family and friends can attest, Joey was the life of the party and enjoyed gatherings. He was generous beyond words, and his memory will forever be in our hearts. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday June 17, 2025 from 8:30 -9:30AM in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at St. Michael Church at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
