Joseph Pascarella Obituary

Joseph "Joey" Pascarella Jr., 71, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband of Cookie Izokaitis Pascarella. Born in New Haven on August 9, 1954, Joey was the son of the late Joseph R. Pascarella Sr. and Frances Williams Pascarella. He worked as a crane operator for Tilcon Connecticut and was a proud member of IUOE Local 478, where he served for many years as a union steward. Joey had a zest for life. He loved golfing, riding his Harley Davidson, boating, his dogs, and traveling in his motorcoach with Cookie. Known for his larger-than-life personality, Joey was the "life of the party," always quick with a joke, a tease, and a smile. He will be remembered for the joy he brought to gatherings, especially the backyard parties he so loved to host. He is survived by his sister, Linda Cousins; his nieces and nephews - Cara, Paula, Paul Jr., Christina, Paul, James, and Felicia - as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, James Pascarella, and his niece, Kathryn VanBruinisse. Joey will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him but never forgotten. Private services have been entrusted to The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Joseph, please visit our Tree Store.
