Joseph Reilly Obituary

Joseph Rebel Reilly, 56, of Enfield, CT, passed away on March 30, 2025, after a valiant and brave fight with cancer at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 24, 1968, in Hartford, CT, to Joseph Reaves and Elizabeth Reilly. Joe spent his early years in Hartford, CT, before moving to Alabama, eventually returning to Connecticut to build his life in West Hartford. On May 12, 2001, he married the love of his life, Darlene Lazure, and together they raised their family in Enfield. Joe worked in the security industry, ultimately serving as a Security Supervisor for many years. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Lazure-Reilly; his children, Jennifer Lazure and her fiancé Eric, Nicole Lazure, Joseph Lazure, and Susan Lazure; and his cherished grandchildren, Jordan Hamborg and Ashley Cuadra. He also leaves behind his sister, Elizabeth "Cissy" Butcher and her husband Joseph "Butch" Butcher; and his nephews, Michael/Godson and Ryan Butcher and his brother-in-law, Ronald "Butch" Lazure; George Lazure and his wife Gloria; his sister-in-law, Donna Lazure; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Joe loved fishing, cooking, sitting by the fire with a beer, and listening to his favorite tunes on his boom box. He was also a diehard Alabama Roll Tide football fan. Joe's family would like to send a special Thank you to all of the Nurses and Doctors in the ICU Unit at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Leete-Stevens Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Home Prayer Service at 6:00 PM.
