Karen Torelli Obituary

Karen Joy Torelli, age 75 of Vernon, CT, died peacefully on March 15, 2024 at the Lord Chamberlain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Stratford. Born in Hartford on October 21, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Esther Hayden Geres. Ms. Torelli was raised in Hartford and resided in Florida and Brooklyn, NY before returning back to Connecticut in 2000. She worked as a hairstylist and colorist for many years, prior to her retirement. Ms. Torelli enjoyed playing dominoes and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her devoted granddaughter, Amberlyn (James Pereira) Godoy of Coventry and grandsons, Briegel Godoy of FL, Justin (Michelle) Godoy of Ansonia, Dylan Godoy of Ansonia and Ryan Godoy of Enfield; great grandchildren, Tiago Pereira and Keyera Godoy; and a son-in-law, Oscar Godoy of Ansonia. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Amber Marie Turner Godoy. Funeral services are private. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, is in care of arrangements.
