Kimberly Anne Gabriel

Kimberly Anne Gabriel, 53, of Ellington, loving wife of 20 years and best friend of Raymond G. Gabriel, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, September 12, 2025, following a sudden recurrence of breast cancer. Kim was born on May 3, 1972, in Hartford, Connecticut, one of three beloved daughters of Edward "Ted" Kwash of Glastonbury and the late Sharon Kwash. She was raised in Windsor and Trumbull and was a graduate of Trumbull High School, Class of 1991. Alongside her devotion to family, Kim worked as an Operations Analyst at Aetna Life Insurance Company for over two decades. In her spare time, she enjoyed the companionship of her pets and sharing laughter-filled moments with loved ones. In addition to her husband and father, Kim leaves her two much-loved and cherished daughters, Olivia Anne Gabriel and Ava Elizabeth Gabriel both of Ellington; her two sisters, Kristin Sziklas and her husband, Stuart, with their children Sam and Catherine all of Southborough, MA; and Jennifer Keeler and her husband, Alex, with their children, Quinn and Max, all of Hopkinton, MA. Other survivors include her in-laws, George and Karen Gabriel of Tiverton, RI and her sister-in-law, Nancy Cifune and her husband, Edward, and their two children Edward and Regina, all of Bristol, RI. All are welcome to join her family for calling hours at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, CT 06074 on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2-4 pm.
