Kimberly Marchak Obituary

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Kimberly Nicole Marchak, who left us on Saturday, April 19th, at the age of 49. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit, love, and kindness will remain in our hearts forever.

Born in Danbury, CT, to Alexander Marchak and Claudia Jackson Marchak, she lived a rich, meaningful life. With her gentle heart, unwavering strength, and joyful spirit, she touched the lives of everyone she met.

Kimberly built a beautiful life surrounded by those she loved most in her family - and her beloved animals (Preston, Princess, and Bella). She found immense happiness with these animals as they were her fur babies. She also had close friends in North Carolina and many others in Florida and Texas, where she lived for the last 10 years.

To know Kimberly was to know true laughter that could brighten any room and a soul full of energy. Kimberly is survived by her mother, Claudia Jackson Marchak, her brothers, David Joseph Marchak and Christopher Michael Marchak, their wives, Nancy Leclerc Marchak and Nancy Labedski Marchak, and their children, Carolyn, Nicolas, Julia, Sarah, and Kathryn. She was predeceased by her father, Alexander Marchak, and her grandmother, Rose Feigl Jackson.

A celebration of Kimberly's beautiful life will be held on Monday, May 19th at St. Mary's Church in Bethel, CT, beginning at 10:00 AM. All who loved her are welcome to join us as we honor her memory and the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, our family kindly asks that donations be made in Kimberly's honor to the Danbury Animal Welfare Society at 147 Grassy Plain Street, Bethel, CT (DAWS.org), a no-kill animal welfare facility, a cause dear to her heart.

Though words cannot fully capture our sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Kim's love will continue guiding us daily. We will miss her more than words can say.

"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day."

I am so sorry and still shocked to hear about the passing of Kim. I grew up across the street from her in Danbury since I was 3 years old.

She was really my first friend and she (as well as the whole family) felt like my extended family, and will always remain a memorable part of my childhood.

My heart goes out to Dave, Chris and Claudia during this extremely difficult time.
