Laurie Thrall

Laurie Ann Thrall, 60, of Windsor, beloved wife for 36 years of Joseph B. Thrall, II, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at her home. Born in Adrian, MI on November 1, 1964, daughter of Ellen Morgan and the late Larry Robert Sax, she spent most of her childhood in Stevens Point, WI and was a graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High School. After high school, Laurie continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she studied social work. After her daughter Allie was born, Laurie stayed home to raise her children. She and her husband Joe lived in Milwaukee, WI while he was attending law school and after his graduation, they returned to Joe's hometown of Windsor, CT. Laurie and Joe raised their four children in Windsor and returned to Joe's family farm in 2010 on Thrall Road. In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves her mother, Ellen Morgan and her husband Ron of Verona, WI; four children, Alexandra Thrall Cotton and her husband William of Austin, TX, Courtney Judith Thrall of Suffield, Hannah Ellen Record and her husband Matthew of Madison, WI, and Peter Thrall and his wife Kanako of Enfield; four grandchildren, Adeline Cotton and Lawrence "Ren" Cotton both of Austin, TX, Virginia Thrall of Suffield, and Isabelle Thrall of Enfield; two siblings, Wendy Natalie Sax and her husband Jeffrey T. Houser of Chester, VA, and Robert G. Sax and his wife Elizabeth of Verona, WI; two nieces, Caroline and Charlotte Sax both of Verona, WI; her mother-in-law, Judith Hicks Thrall of Windsor; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law and their families, Laura Kaufman and her husband Kenneth of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Amy Flynn and her husband Robert of Windsor, and Spencer Thrall and his wife Sarah of Windsor; and many other relatives and friends. Her family will receive friends on Friday, May 23, 5-8 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A private memorial service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
