Laurine Wilson Obituary

Laurine Antoinette Wilson was born to the late Lonnie B. Lewis and Marjorie Eileen Lewis in New Haven, CT on September 29, 1949 alongside her Twin brother Lonnie Lewis Jr. She is preceded in death by her Mother Marjorie Lewis and Father Lonnie Lewis. She is survived by her brothers Lonnie Lewis and wife Lisa, her brother Mike Adams, along with her Sisters Deborah Batts, Thilitta Lewis, Dilanna Padilla and Pierina Rhodes and husband Jesse. Laurine is also survived by her three children, Christopher Watson Sr. and wife Elinette, Naomi Wilson and Nicole Wilson along with her six grand sons, Christopher Watson Jr., Jaden Watson, Kaiden Wilson, Kameron Wilson, and Kamai Wilson. Also survived by two granddaughters, Jacelle Watson, Arion Wilson, and one great grandson Braedyn Watson. Laurine is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. After being raised as a child in Stony Creek, Branford CT, Laurine attended Branford High School and was very athletic and played on the following teams: Basketball, Field Hockey, Track & Field, Modern Dance and everyone that knew her during her high school years will long remember her as she twirled her baton as a majorette. After her graduation from High school in 1968 Laurine continued her education at Eastern Connecticut State University and earned her associate's degree in child development establishing private daycare within her home for many years. Laurine then, took up employment at United Community Nursery School for many years until her health failed her. Laurine's began studying the Bible in her early tender years and her love, zeal, and integrity to Jehovah God whom she became to know and love as a person from an early stage of her life moved her to symbolize her dedication to Jehovah God through water baptism on November 2, 1972 In Monroe, New York, where she became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and continued to maintain her dedication to Jehovah God in preaching and teaching and became part of the Orange Congregation, Orange, CT. Laurine enjoyed helping her neighbors, family and friends to come to know Jehovah because she knew in her heart that the promises that Jehovah taught her were based on His word The Bible and exercising her faith in Jesus Christ. Understanding the scriptural thought at Heb 11: 1 made her faith more sure and solid whereby she volunteered herself and her time to work in a seldom worked preaching territory which moved her to travel into the State of Virginia to reach as many people who would give her a listening ear. Left to cherish Laurine's memories are her children, all her Family siblings, cousins, many worldwide families of spiritual Brothers and Sisters, along with her very close associate friends. Laurine was convinced that there would be a resurrection to take place here on earth. (Job 14:13-15; 27:5; Psalms 37:11; Daniel 12:13; Acts 24:15). Her desire to see the earth transformed into a paradise and be reunited again with her family and friends; - (John 5: 28, 29) strengthen her to stand firm in her integrity to Jehovah until her health failed. Laurine will forever live in our memory of Love. Laurine was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and a dear friend to countless spiritual brother and sisters and many associate friends and she will truly be missed by all. My memory:
Will truly miss each laughing moment we shared together whereby our heads would hurt and holding our stomachs, telling each other to just stop.
My Condolences are extended to each one of Laurine's children letting each one know, that our family support will always be available for many, many days, months or even years to come. And to each of her siblings, may we continue to stand firm in our faith to welcome our sister back and have the family reunion that awaits each of us.
