Lillian Johnson Obituary

Lillian H. Johnson, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Hartford, CT, at the age of 80. Born on January 19, 1945, in Newberry, SC, Lillian was the cherished daughter of the late Clarence Hall and Ethel (Dewese) Hall. Her warm presence and thoughtful nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. Lillian's life was a testament to her hardworking spirit and her unwavering commitment to her family. She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, David Johnson and his wife Betty, and Donald Johnson and his wife Stacey; her dear brother, Obadrah Johnson; and her beloved sister, Ethel Mae Pinckney. Lillian's legacy of love continues through her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. After many years of dedicated service, Lillian retired from her position as a Greeter at Aramark, where she was not only an employee but also a friend to all. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor made her a favorite among colleagues and visitors alike. Lillian's involvement in her community and church reflected her desire to serve others and her deep-seated faith. Lillian's interests were a reflection of her joyous and generous spirit. She found great pleasure in cooking and baking, creating dishes that were as much a feast for the heart as they were for the palate. Her love for the church was profound, and she participated enthusiastically in its activities, spreading kindness and compassion wherever she went. Lillian also enjoyed the occasional visit to the casino, delighting in the vibrant atmosphere and the companionship of friends. Described by all who knew her as loving, faith-filled, and thoughtful, Lillian lived her life with a gentle strength and an open heart. Her guidance and wisdom were a source of comfort and inspiration, and her memory will be treasured forever. Lillian H. Johnson's journey on earth may have come to a close, but the impact of her love and the echoes of her laughter will resonate for generations. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that enriched the lives of many. The family of Ms. Lillian H. Johnson thanks you for your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Her service details will be forthcoming. We thank you for your understanding.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Lil' was the kindest and most generous soul that I had the good grace to know. She will live in our hearts always. May the Good Lord hold her in the palm of His hand.
