Linda L. Beers Gardiner

Linda Lou Beers Gardiner, 89, of Andover and Manchester, Connecticut passed away on September 3rd, 2025, in Farmington Connecticut. Linda was born and raised in Norwalk Connecticut to Fanton Earl and Lillian Agnes (LeMien) Beers on August 10, 1936. She attended Norwalk High School and earned her Bachelors of Science at Teacher's College of Connecticut, (Central Connecticut State University), and graduate degrees from the University of Connecticut. She started her career teaching 3rd grade in Darien and after a long career in education, retired from The Town of Wethersfield Board of Education where she was an Instructional Supervisor. Linda was a lifelong Phi Delta Kappa and dedicated her life to teaching children. After retirement, Linda continued being active and involved. She became a Master Gardener, was a world traveler, appreciated art, theater and volunteering in the community. Linda loved her time with her beloved family and friends at her house in Andover, her parent's cabin on Lake Candlewood, and at the Gardiner family house in Stonington. Linda is predeceased by her husband Gerald Raulinaitis and is survived by her former husband, Ray Gardiner; their two children, Lynn Spaulding and husband Arthur Spaulding of Manchester, and Christine Mace and husband Peter of Guilford, and their son Garrett. In addition, Linda is survived by her four stepchildren from her late husband- Jay and his wife Joan of Doylestown Pennsylvania, Susan Tynan and her husband James of Bristol, Scott and his wife Paula of Niantic, as well as grandchildren Gabrielle Raulinaitis, Taylor and Ted Nauss. She is predeceased by Gerry's daughter Diane Nauss. She also leaves her brothers F. Earl Beers of Santa Barbara, California and Jeffrey Beers and his wife Sharon of New Fairfield. Linda's nieces and nephews include Denise Cossari and husband Brian of New Fairfield, Steven and wife Corinne of Stratford, Jason and wife Jane of San Francisco, Cory and Kathryn of Los Angelos and Colby of Northern California. Calling hours will be held on September 20th from 11:00 to noon at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street, Manchester, Connecticut with a service to follow.
