Lois Flanders Obituary

Lois (Ehrlich) Flanders, 82, of Newington, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late John Flanders for 40 years before his passing in 2023. Lois was born in New York, NY on May 5, 1943, daughter of the late Leslie and Elsie (Katz) Ehrlich. She was raised in West Hartford and graduated from Conard High School, Class of 1962. Lois and John owned and operated Century Sales, which specialized in residential and commercial lighting. In her free time, she was an avid dog lover, and enjoyed travel and social activities with John and their friends. In her later years, she was active at the Newington Senior Center. Lois is survived by her brothers Stanley Ehrlich and Robert Ehrlich; sister Marilyn Ehrlich; and several nieces and nephews in CT and MA. She was predeceased by her brother Ronald Ehrlich; and sister Sandra Sapolis. Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service for Lois on Friday, September 19th at 10:00 a.m. at the CT State Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
