Lorraine Daddona
"Loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother"
Lorraine (Fortier) Daddona, age 85, of Waterbury and Watertown, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Apple Rehab Center in Watertown, where she had been cared for over the past two decades.
Born in Waterbury on July 30, 1939, Lorraine was the beloved daughter of the late Gaston and Jeanette (Laliberte) Fortier. She was a proud graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School.
Lorraine was predeceased by her best friend and loving husband, Joseph Daddona. Their marriage of 65 years was a beautiful example of enduring love, marked by faith, family, and countless joyful moments together. She was also predeceased by her brother Donald Fortier, sister Mariette Veronneau, nephew Mark Valente, and niece Linda Gorman.
A familiar face to many, Lorraine found great joy in her work as a cashier at A&P Supermarket in Waterbury, where she made countless friends and brightened the days of those around her until stepping back due to her disability.
Lorraine's heart belonged to her family. She leaves behind her devoted children: Diane Fasano and her husband Leonard of Goshen, Richard Daddona of Jacksonville, FL, and David Daddona of Watertown. She was the proud grandmother of seven: Angela Lepore, Anthony Fasano, Karla Stochmal, Joseph Daddona, Samuel Daddona, Matthew Daddona, and Cristina Daddona. Her legacy also includes seven beloved great-grandchildren, as well as a nephew, many nieces and cousins.
Lorraine cherished life's joyful moments, bowling, roller skating, playing cards with close friends, exciting games of bingo, and treasured travels with her husband, family, and friends, especially their memorable cruises and trips to Ocean City, Maryland. But more than anything, it was her children and grandchildren who brought her the deepest happiness and pride. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Apple Rehab Center for their extraordinary care and kindness over the past 20 years.
Lorraine's strength and love will live on through all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of family, faith, and friendship-and memories that will be treasured forever.
