Luis Santana Obituary

Luis Ricarte Santana, 49, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on January 3, 1976, he was the son of the late Ricarte Santana and Esther Ortiz Santana. He was a longtime Meriden resident and graduated from Hartford High School, Class of 1994. Luis enjoyed playing dominos and fixing cars. He was very adventures, loved the outdoors and fishing. He was an avid sports fan of the Boston Celtics, San Franscico 49ers and the New York Yankees. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. He was survived by his daughter, Jaylie Rose Santana and her husband, Manuel Acosta; his two sons, Isaiah Santana and Luis Francisco Santana and his grandson, Alexios Ricarte Acosta Santana. He is also survived by his sister Vivian Santana and her fiancé Alex Valentin;his brother Richard Santana and his wife Kelly Morgan and several nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Angelica, Aaliyah, Abigail, Leila, Jacob, Mia, Nyla and Bryson. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, August 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. For online condolences please visit jferryfh.com.
