Marilyn Ronalter Obituary

Marilyn Jean (Marchesi) Ronalter, 96, of New Britain, widow of John E. Ronalter, passed away Saturday (September 13, 2025) at her home. A native and lifelong New Britain resident, she was the daughter of the late Mary E. (Martin) Marchesi and Anthony H. Marchesi. Marilyn was a graduate of New Britain High School and attended Central Connecticut State College. Marilyn was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in New Britain. She is survived by three sons, Michael J. Ronalter and his wife Patricia of Newington; Timothy M. Ronalter and his wife Pamela of Phoenix, AZ; and Thomas G. Ronalter of New Britain and his long-time friend Suzanne Oslander of Newington; a grandson, John R. Ronalter of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Elizabeth Roy of New Britain; and several nieces and nephews, including Abby Roy, Ethan Roy and Andrew Williams. Besides her husband John, she was predeceased by a son, Stephen G. Ronalter and a brother and sister, Donald Marchesi and Vivian Casella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (September 27, 2025) 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley Street, New Britain. Please go directly to the church. There are no calling hours. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CT Audubon Society, Greater Hartford Region, 314 Unquowa Rd., Fairfield, CT 06824.
