Mark Darin Obituary
Mark Joseph Darin, 35, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the beloved husband of four years to Kayla (Burchard) Darin.
Born in New Britain on November 14, 1989, Mark was the loving son of Keith and Susan (Ragozzino) Darin. He grew up in Meriden and attended local schools. He was a proud graduate of Xavier High School. After graduating he began his career in construction at LaRosa Construction of Meriden, CT for the past 16 years as a dedicated Project Superintendent. Mark was known for his loyalty, strong work ethic, and infectious love of life.
Mark loved to entertain, make pizzas, and explore all things food-related. He thrived on routine and found great joy in the simple things. A lifelong baseball fan, he also discovered a newfound love for hockey during his treatments.
Anyone who knew Mark knew he was a true character-always cracking jokes, telling outrageous stories, or pulling light-hearted pranks. He had a unique gift for making people laugh and lighting up any room he walked into. His sense of humor, quick wit, and bold spirit made him unforgettable, and the stories people tell about "Mark being Mark" will continue to bring smiles and laughter for years to come.
He was the beloved brother of Nicholas Darin and his wife Christina of Shelton, cherished grandson of Gloria Ragozzino and the late Joseph Ragozzino and Gene Darin and the late Nancy Darin. Mark is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his three cats: Roxy, Mufasa, and Bombalina-who brought him comfort and companionship throughout his life.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 6th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT. Family and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Bridget of Sweden Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, CT to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 7th at 11:00 AM, with committal services immediately following at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 250 Gypsy Lane, Meriden, CT.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to support Mark's wife, Kayla, as she faces ongoing medical expenses and the unfinished home projects they began together.
