Mark DeBrino Obituary

Mark J. DeBrino, 63, of East Haven, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 22nd, 2025. He was the husband of Cynthia Ferraiuolo Puccino. Mark was born in New Haven on April 1st, 1961. He was the son of Peter and Vivian (Manzi )DeBrino. Mark was the proud father of Alisha Dawn DeBrino and an extraordinary dad to his stepgirls Charla Puccino and Gabrielle Puccino. Mark also leaves behind three brothers, Matt DeBrino, Peter DeBrino (Gina) and Willy DeBrino and his nephew Tyler DeBrino who he was proud of as well. Mark was the adoring grandfather to his favorite little person, Louis Carfora. In addition to his family, Mark leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him. After retiring from the City of New Haven, Mark went to work at Brown School in Madison where he worked for many years. Mark was much brighter and louder than his stature. You often heard Mark before you saw him. Mark was always the first to offer help to anyone who needed it without hesitation and he received much joy in helping others even as his health was declining. Mark loved spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan when it wasn't cool. Mark was looking forward to welcoming his soon to be son in law, Jose Tirador to the family, seeing the Chiefs in the super bowl again, and spending time in warmer weather. Rest Mark. You're finally out of pain. The visiting hours will be on Saturday, February 1st from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 12 noon. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Mark I did not know of your passing , I am so sorry for your family and friends. We were great friends in Eli Whitney class of 1979. We had some wild times together as teens but all in good fun. I wish I knew you weren´t feeling well. I would have loved to see you brother. To your family he was as I´m sure you knew a great guy. Made me laugh all the time. Until we meet again rest in peace. My heart felt condolences to your family. Rest in heaven. You will be making Jerry d laugh again.

My sincerest condolences to the DeBrino family and to all who knew and loved Mark. I worked with Mark at Brown School in Madison. Mark was such important part of school community. Mark´s cheerful greeting, "Morning, Boss," was often the first I heard entering the building each day. He´d stop by the office every day, to check on things, but each visit usually included some bit of humor as Mark recounted an anecdote about his family; the love and pride he felt were evident in everything he shared. Mark brought light and laughter to every space he entered. His passing leaves everything a little darker and quieter.

You were always ready and willing to help, often even before I asked. Your hearty sense of humor always brightened my day. I can still hear that booming voice from my classroom just down the hall from your office. I will never forget you. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Condolences to the DeBrino family. I met Mark thru my son Rudy as they both worked in the Madison school system and often would ride together. Rudy would always come home laughing because Mark always had a story. Mark ànd I would always talk about our Italian heritage which always was food and family!!!We also shared having surgery on both our knees by the same Dr who was Dr Stephen Nelson one of the best ortho Doctors. I know how he adored his grandson who bought him great joy.To say I was so devastated upon hearing of his passing is an understatement May you rest in peace
