Karen Rodriguez

Karen A. Rodriguez, 72, of Livingston, NJ, passed away on October 16, 2025.
Born on October 28, 1952, in Newark, NJ, to Joseph O'Neil and Anne Reuter O'Neill, Karen grew up in Orange, NJ, and moved to Livingston in the early 1960s. She also lived in Saylorsburg, PA. She graduated from Livingston High School in 1970.
Karen was a deli clerk with ShopRite in Lyndhurst.
Karen loved life and had a natural gift for bringing joy to those around her. Even strangers gravitated towards her. She often found herself happily offering support or advice to random people who would approach her and share stories or problems.
She was also extremely funny and enjoyed shopping at Trader Joe's and Target, as well as traveling to Atlantic City. Her favorite part of the week was socializing with family and friends.
Karen took great delight in watching TV, especially General Hospital, and doting on her cats.
She was the beloved wife of Daniel; loving mother to Vincent Rizzolo and his wife, Cathie, and the late Daniel J. Rodriguez Jr.; dear sister to Susan Diaz, Erin O'Neil, Janice O'Neil, and the late Robert O'Neil. She was the cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Karen will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be offered on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Karen, please visit our floral store.
