Marvia Neveta Morrison Mais entered the gates of Heaven and departed this life on October 20, 2025, at the age of 34, following injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Marvia was the beloved wife of Corey Mais, with whom she shared 11 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, faith, laughter, and devotion.
Born on June 6, 1991, in Mavis Bank, Jamaica, Marvia was the cherished daughter of Princess (Phinn) Morrison and the late Henry Morrison.
In addition to her husband and mother, Marvia leaves behind her two stepsons, Corey Mais, Jr. and Caleeb Mais, and her dear sister, Shadonna Morrison, other relatives and friends.
She attended Mavis Bank High School before pursuing higher education at The Mico University College in Jamaica, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. After relocating to the United States, Marvia continued her education at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury CT, where she obtained her CNA certification.
Marvia was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant with RVNAhealth Home Health in Ridgefield, Connecticut. She enjoyed listening to Jamaican podcasters, shopping, hosting gatherings, and most of all, ensuring that her family and friends were cared for and loved.
Arrangements: A Funeral Service celebrating Marvia's life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Chase Parkway Memorial / The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A calling hour will take place prior to the service, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date in Jamaica.
Marvia will be lovingly remembered for her unwavering faith in God, her strength of character, and her deep love for family.
She was a devoted wife, daughter, stepmother, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend who brought warmth, encouragement, and joy to all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, mother, children, sister, extended family, other relatives and countless friends across Jamaica and the United States. Her memory will forever remain a blessing to all whose lives she touched.
