Mary Theresa Martin

Mary Theresa Martin, age 86, of Forestville, passed away on September 25, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of 30 years to the late Lido Martin.
She was born on October 29, 1938, in Madawaska, Maine, daughter to the late Albert and Eva (Derosier) Guerette. Mary Theresa graduated from St. Agatha Catholic high school. She then moved to Connecticut and started her career as a secretary with Aetna Insurance company. Thereafter she worked at industrial components and Stanley Works for nearly 40 years.
She loved family gatherings, going to tag sales, gardening, dancing, scrapbooking, and loved to sing. She had a knack for remembering everyone's birthdays.
Mary Theresa is survived by her son, Glenn Martin and wife Lynne of Bristol, grandson Kyle and granddaughters Kaitlyn, Kristen, Nichole and Allison, great grandchildren Elijah, Emerson, Ronan, and Jacob and her sister Bernadette Capella. She was predeceased by her son, James Martin, 10 siblings, Dora Slovak, Herman Guerette, Fernand Guerette, Gilman Guerette, Doreen Lacasse, Louis Guerette, Jeannine Guerette, Joan Plourde, Lucille Guerette, Luke Guerette, and her companion of 28 years, Ernie Caron.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Gregory The Great Parish, 235 Maltby Street, Bristol. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol.
