Matthew Kulas Obituary

Matthew Kulas, 59, of East Granby, Connecticut, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025. It is with a heavy heart that we share the sudden, unexpected death of Matthew. He brought his whole heart, love and special sense of humor to our lives, every conversation and family occasion. The shock of our family's loss is felt so deeply. Born on September 28, 1965, in Hartford, CT, Matt grew up in East Granby and attended local schools. He began his career as a glazier in the construction industry before finding his calling in the automotive world. Over the years, he worked with dedication at Wagner Ford formally in Simsbury, CT, Hoffman Ford in East Hartford, CT and most recently at Valenti Jaguar in Hartford, CT. Matthew was passionate about cycling, logging hundreds of miles throughout New England and continued to maintain and tinker with his bikes. He was an avid year-round fisherman, and was fascinated by anything that had a motor. In recent years, he enjoyed playing golf, especially Sunday morning rounds with family and close friends. He also played guitar and had a deep love for music, often spending hours listening to his favorite songs. Matthew was predeceased by his father, Raymond Kulas of Windsor, CT. Matthew is survived by his mother, Lynette Kulas of Windsor, CT; his sister, Sandy Hart, and her husband Jim Hart of East Granby, CT; and his brother, Jeff Kulas of Bluffton, SC. He also leaves behind nieces Cassie Kulas and Rose Hart, nephews Jordan Krogh and Noah Kulas, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A private celebration of life will be held by the family, at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Carmon Funeral Home, Windsor, CT.

Words can't express my shock and sadness upon learning of Matts sudden death. After all, the majority of my childhood and school memories in E. Granby include Matt! We had some great times, adventures, conversations - all of which I'll cherish until we see each other again. Until then, rest in peace brother. Sending thoughts and prayers to those you left behind.

Thank you to those individuals who reached out to me with the sad news prior to the obituary being published. Much appreciated.
