Michael Borelli

Michael Edward Dominic Borelli of New Haven, formerly of Branford, died suddenly Saturday March 29, 2025 in New Haven.
He was born in New Haven on April 1, 1980, son of Jacqueline Richetelli Borelli of Branford, and the late Edward Borelli of Branford. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his sister Kerry (Sean) Healy of Branford, his nephews, Sean and James Healy of Branford, his beloved Corianne Brennan of New Haven, his aunt Roberta DeCosta (Fred) Lougal of West Haven, closest cousins, Ernest (Angela) DeCosta, Amy DeCosta (Chris) Meier, Joseph (Donna) Scirocco and his godmother Lois "Nana" Tescione. He is also survived by many extended family and his treasured friends.
Michael was a carpenter by trade for Local 157 of Manhattan, NYC. Michael lived his life to the fullest extent and shared his love with all, everything he did was "life times ten". He was most proud of his Italian heritage which he frequently referenced. Michael was most at home surrounded by his friends and family, fishing or crabbing, on his bike, in his woodshop or watching sports Go Giants, UCONN and Yankees!
He was a bright light and warm heart to all who knew him and his presence, laughter and fierce hugs will be missed more than anything else.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 – 6:00 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and may attend his Mass of Christian Funeral on Monday morning at 11:00 in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary's Church, Branford.
In lieu of flowers, donations of any type may be made to any homeless shelter or food pantry, something that was personally important to Michael.
