Michael R. Criscio

Michael R. Criscio Sr., 83, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Ark Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine J. Stomboli Criscio. Michael was born in New Haven on August 1, 1942, and was the son of the late Salvatore and Jennette Managi Criscio. In Michael's early years he worked as a proud mechanic at Ford American Car Repair, then at Whaley Volkswagen for many years and later as an engineer at Yale New Haven Hospital before joining his son at M&M Pawn Shop and Check Cashing LLC. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, going crabbing with his brother, bowling, working on cars and was an avid collector. Michael's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally. Beloved father of Dina McCarthy and her husband Ray, Michael Criscio, James Criscio and his wife Raeanne. Loving grandfather of Michael, Jason, Madyson, James, Angelina, Daniel, and Gianna. Brother of Albert Criscio, Jenny Criscio, and the late Mary Lou Criscio Nystrand, Antoinette Criscio Vallombroso, Pasquale Criscio, Anthony Criscio, Joseph Criscio, and Salvatore Criscio. The visiting hours will be Sunday, October 19th from 2 to 5 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday morning October 20th at 10:00. Interment will follow in Northford Cemetery.
