Nancy Eisenlohr Obituary

Nancy Rose Eisenlohr, 86, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1939, in New Rochelle, NY, to Patricia (Dillon) and William Green, raised by Patricia and her adoptive father, George Cichon. Nancy enjoyed a long career as an office manager at Edward Jones in Litchfield, CT, before retiring. Nancy spent 68 wonderful years married to William (Bill) Eisenlohr of Winsted, CT, where they raised their 4 children. Together, they filled their days with laughter and adventures, always side by side, savoring every moment. Their bond was a shining example of devotion and companionship. Nancy had a beautiful smile and an immense love for her family, friends, and life. Her playful spirit and sense of humor lifted the hearts of those around her. She approached every challenge with determination, inspiring all who witnessed her strength and perseverance. A dedicated public servant, Nancy volunteered her time and talents to the Winsted community in countless ways, serving on the Board of Selectmen and as Mayor of Winsted from 1985-87. She chaired the Planning and Zoning Commission, served on the Inland & Wetlands Commission, Winchester Housing Authority and was a Justice of the Peace for 6 years. Nancy was also Treasurer of the Democratic Town Committee. In her retirement years, her work continued as a hospice volunteer and as President of the Indian Creek Homeowners Association in Jupiter, Florida, where she and Bill spent the winter months. She was also a long-standing member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Nancy never stopped seeking knowledge or excitement. Whether she was exploring a new country, curling up with a favorite novel with a cup of tea by her side or dancing in the arms of her beloved Bill, Nancy lived with joy and purpose. Nancy's legacy is one of love, resilience, and adventure. She will be forever missed but her spirit lives on in the memories she created and the lives she touched. She is survived by her husband, William, of Litchfield, CT; her sons, Scott (Sandi), Winsted, CT; Brett (Nancy Kramer), Avon, CT; Greg (Suzanne), Milan, NY; and her daughter, Lynn (Stuart) Chapman of Litchfield, CT. She was the adored grandmother of Madeleine, Claire, and Miles Sydney, Chase, Michael, Pamela, Sharon, Valerie and Shayne all of whom brought her immense joy. Friends may call Friday October 10, 2025 from 4pm - 7pm at Montano-Shea Funeral Home 922 Main Street, Winsted CT. A catholic mass will be held October 11, 2025 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 186 Main Street, Winsted, CT. A private burial will be at a later date.
