Nancy Holland Obituary
Nancy L. (Ragaglia) Holland, 75 of Plainville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 14, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, cherished grandmother, and a lifelong caretaker who touched countless lives through her compassion and grace. She is now reunited with her husband of 47 years, Robert, who predeceased her in 2017.
Born in Northern Maine on April 7, 1950, she was one of two children to the late Michael and Eva (Robinson) Ragaglia, and was raised and educated in Farmington, graduating from Farmington High School. She dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a medical assistant at The Hospital of Central Connecticut and with several local physicians. Her calm demeanor and caring touch made her a source of comfort for patients and coworkers alike.
Nancy had a gift for connection-she made friends easily and kept them close. Her kindness radiated through everything she did, from the gentle way she listened, to the support she offered to those in need. Whether caring for family or simply being present for a friend, Nancy's warmth never went unnoticed.
She had a love for life's simple pleasures: day trips to quiet parks, scenic drives through the Connecticut countryside, and spontaneous getaways that refreshed her spirit. She especially cherished trips to the casino and unforgettable vacations to Las Vegas with family and friends.
Nancy's greatest joy was her family. She was the heart of every gathering, the comforting voice, the warm hug, the one who always knew just what to say. Her legacy lives on in the lives she nurtured and the values she instilled: kindness, resilience, and to love without condition.
She is survived by her son Bryan and his wife, Laura; her adored grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Mikayla and Lindsey; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy may be remembered with contributions to the resident activities fund at the Jerome Home, 975 Corbin Ave, New Britain CT 06052.
Family and friends may gather on Friday August 22, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville.
