Nancy A. Landa

Nancy A. Landa, 57, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at The Summit at Plantsville in Plantsville, CT after a long illness.
Born in Meriden on February 23, 1968, daughter of the late Joseph L. Landa, Sr. and Carol Schipke Landa. Nancy grew up in Meriden and resided most of her life there. She attended St. Mary School and Orville H. Platt High School. In her younger years, Nancy was employed by AGC in South Meriden.
Nancy loved attending concerts and spending time at the beach. A car accident in 1992 severely altered Nancy's life but her resilience was strong over the years. Nancy was always outspoken, and even after the accident had her own unique way with words to convey her feelings. Her love of music remained a constant, especially 80's tunes, which she always had playing in her room.
Nancy is survived by her son, Stanley and her grandson Theo Carle. She is also survived by her brother, Chris Landa and his wife Claudia, her sister Carrie Morache and her husband Tom, her niece Katie and nephew Joe. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph L. Landa, Jr. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at The Summit at Plantsville and Optum Health nurses who took such good care of Nancy and brightened her days.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday September 4, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450. Her funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
