Pauline M. "Polly" Willliams

Pauline "Polly" M. Williams, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Civita Care Center at Cheshire. Born in Waterbury on December 21, 1929, Pauline was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Dinova) Williams. Polly graduated from Washington High School in Washington, CT. She attended Babies Hospital/Coit-Memorial in Newark, NJ and as a pediatric nurse, continued to work at the hospital. After returning to Connecticut, Polly became a private nurse for many families in the Washington area. A career change brought Polly to SNET where she worked for 34 years. Following retirement in 1985, Polly and her sister, Agnes did much traveling. Trips included Wind Jammers out of Maine, sailing the Caribbean Islands, trip to Europe with the favorite being a riverboat cruise in Belgium during tulip season, just to mention a few. Known for her style, Polly was rarely seen without a hat and most people remember her with her sister Aggie who was always by her side until her passing in 2006. Polly was a former member of Nava Ski Club, Crestbrook Ladies Gold Association, The Wednesday Night and the Family-Mixed Bowling Leagues, and a proud member of the SNET Pioneers. Left to treasure her memory are countless cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister and best friend, Agnes Williams. Her family would like to thank Accent Care of Middlebury and Civita Care Center at Cheshire for their dedication and kindness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 S. Main St., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. There are no calling hours. Maiorano Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
