Peter Mastri Obituary

Peter Joseph Mastri, 102, entered into rest on May 27, 2025. A son of the late Leonard and Concetta DelGrosso Mastri, Peter leaves a large and loving family of nieces and nephews including Victoria Fernino, who always took care of Pete, Joan Hatrick, Marlene (Gerald) Duda, Angela Montes, Debbie, Patricia, Dominic (Sharon), Leonard and Albert Mastri, Ornella (Frank) Massimino, Vincent (Barbara) Sattani, Jr., Leonard Sattani and the late Leonard (Nick) Mastri, Richard Sattani and Shirley Valentine; and 22 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. His two sisters Lucy Scott and Nellie Sattani and five brothers Dominic, Nicholas, Albert, Anthony and Giovanni Mastri predecease him. Peter entered the Navy as a young man and this formed his lifelong career, as a Petty officer and supply clerk. He received his college education through the Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Macon. The hours for visitation will take place on Monday June 2, 2025 from 3 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Tuesday morning, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster St., Bridgeport at 10:30. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
