Peter Oddo Obituary

Peter Robert Oddo, 78, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025. Born in New Haven on October 27, 1946, he was the beloved son of the late Peter and Virginia Fudge Oddo. Known to family and friends as Pete, he met the love of his life, Gerri, with whom he built a beautiful life in Hamden. Together they raised two sons. Pete was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he worked for many years in the plastics industry until his retirement. Pete will be remembered for his gentle demeanor and kind heart-qualities that he passed down to his children and grandchildren. He found great joy in being a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan, a love he passed down to his kids and grandkids. In addition to his devoted wife Gerri, he is survived by his sons, Peter Oddo and Michael (Kelsey) Oddo, both of Hamden; his cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Giuliana, and Rocco; his sister, Susan DeMarseilles (James) of Ft. Lauderdale; and his brother, Ronald Oddo of Hamden. He was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn Bianco. Family and friends are asked to go directly to Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Church Street, Hamden on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10am where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Full Military honors will be rendered after the Church Service. Condolences may be expressed at www.hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
