Randy Stuck Obituary

Randy K. Stuck, 65, of Granby CT, passed away on May 21, 2025, with his loving wife Lauren by his side. Born on November 22, 1959, in Wheeling, WV, Randy was the son of the late Albert C. Stuck and Gloria (Hileman) Stuck. Raised in Wellsburg and Beech Bottom WV, he attended Brooke High School in Wellsburg, WV and Bethany College in Bethany, WV. It was at Bethany College that he met his wife, Lauren. They married in 1983 and after a few idyllic years at the old farmhouse in Bethany, they relocated to Connecticut. Two daughters, Kate and Audrey, blessed their lives. Randy held several different jobs over the years, in electrical sales and airport lighting, and later, in food service with the Simsbury Schools and Fitzgerald's Market. The employment that gave him the greatest joy, however, was as a Choir Director. His deep faith, and his remarkable ability to share that faith through his music, enriched many lives at Chapel Hill Christian Church in Beech Bottom, WV, Covenant Congregational Church in West Hartford, CT, East Granby Congregational Church in East Granby, CT and the Enfield Congregational Church in Enfield, CT. Whether he was directing, singing, or playing guitar, his talent was obvious. In addition to his many activities in the field of music, Randy was a member of Valley Lodge #36, A. F. & A.M in Simsbury, CT and a past master (2002) of St. Mark's Lodge #91, A.F. & A.M. Granby, CT. He also served as a board member for the Granby Cemetery Association for many years. Throughout his life, Randy's compassion, intelligence, sense of humor, and tender love made him a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend. In addition to his wife Lauren (Chase) Stuck, of almost 42 years, he leaves his daughters, Katherine (Andrew) Stone of Blacksburg, VA, and Audrey (Christophe) Stuck-Girard of Boston; one grandson, Wallace Stuck-Girard of Boston; brothers Kevin (Janet) Stuck of Granby, CT, Frank (Julie) Stuck of Lancaster, OH, and Terry (Karen) Stuck of Wellsburg, WV; a brother in-law Scott (Dawn) Chase of Rio Rancho, NM; 11 beloved nieces and nephews, and 18 grand nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Gloria Stuck, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Lois Chase, a brother-in-law, Gary Chase, and an infant grandson, Fern Stuck-Girard. A Celebration of Life has been planned on Saturday, June 28, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at the Granby Congregational Church, North Campus, 219 N Granby Rd, Granby CT 06035. Interment will be at West Hampstead Cemetery in Hampstead, NH. Donations in Randy's memory can be made to Waste Not Want Not Community Kitchen, P.O. Box 606, Granby, CT or Global Ministries (www.globalministries.org ), P.O. Box 71957. Cleveland OH 44194. For online memory or condolences, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com

I went to visit Randy and Lauren in their home after they had been coming to our church for awhile. At some point in our conversation Randy said, "What can I do to help?" What a joy it was for a pastor to hear those words!

Randy and Lauren became members of our church and were actively involved. Randy became our choir director and did a wonderful job.

I thank the Lord for the privilege of knowing such a wonderful man of God!
