Raymond Parmlee Obituary

Raymond L. Parmlee Jr. (Larry), 75, of East Hartford, CT, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Amberwoods in Farmington. Son of the late Raymond L. Sr. and Lucy (Gallo) Parmlee, Larry was born on August 22, 1949, in Hartford. Larry graduated from Glastonbury High School, after which he was drafted to the Army during the time of the Vietnam War. He served in the Army for 22 months. Larry went on to work for Lynch Motors, where he met his wife, Helen. He worked there for 10+ years before moving on to become a Postal Supervisor, serving in Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor Locks, and several other towns. Larry is also a retired member of the First Company Governor's Foot Guard in Hartford. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Helen; his daughter; Missy Jorczak and her husband, Jeff; his grandchildren, Sara, Nathan, Tanner and Alex; his siblings, Ann Boxall and her husband Bob, and Tom Parmlee; and his nephew and godson, Jason Boxall. John F. Tierney Funeral Home has care of the arrangements. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, July 26 at St. Mary's Cemetery, 930 Burnside Ave. in East Hartford at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
