Richard A. Rawa

Richard A. Rawa, 71, of Farmington, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at his home. He was born in New Britain, son of the late Frank and Aldona (Yesinsky) Rawa. After graduating from New Britain's E.C. Goodwin Technical School, Richard had a successful career as a tool and die maker for over 45 years. Even though work kept him busy, his desire for service resulted in him joining the United States Marine Corp Reserves. He was immensely proud to have served. Retirement kept him busy. He enjoyed his daily crossword puzzles, early morning walks on the bike path and working around the yard. He loved all kinds of sports, especially woman and men UConn Basketball and all things pertaining to nature and the outdoors. He will miss his Sunday breakfast outings with Rich, the monthly card games at Joe's, teasing the dogs Hairy Potter and Liam, and the Dunkin Donut get together with his E.C. Goodwin Tech alums. His family and friends will miss him more that words can express. A loving brother and uncle, he is survived by his sister, Phyllis Belle of Farmington and his niece, Shachine. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Dolores Falconeri and her husband Michael. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain.
