Robert Dazelle Obituary

Robert P. Dazelle passed away on August 21, 2025, in Hartford, Connecticut, at the age of 60, after a short but courageous fight with cancer. He was born on March 10, 1965, in Westfield, Massachusetts before moving to Vernon CT. Bob loved all Boston sports. He worked at Old Colony Envelope and more recently at Frozen Food Express. His beloved Bichon Frise, Peek-a -Boo, was a constant source of comfort and companionship. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Mary-Lou (Wilde) Dazelle; his father, Richard Dazelle, stepdaughter Leena (Sarah) Louise Mensing (husband Stephen) and grandson Evan Mensing. He also leaves behind sisters: Debbie Taylor (husband Kenny) and Patty Mulville (husband Brian); sister-in-law Wendy Whitaker Dazelle; nieces and nephews Ellisha Dazelle; Richard Dazelle (wife Kim); Julie James (husband Jeff); Daniel Dazelle (wife Emily Elayne); godson/nephew Brad Mulville; Bridgette Rowe (husband Caleb); Christina Lafreniere (husband Gil); Jess Tortorici (wife Nikki); Heather Gresty (fiancé Tiffany); Jennifer Gresty (fiancé Michael); along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Alice (Burt) Dazelle; brother Richard "Dickie" Dazelle; and brother-in-law Grant Gresty. Robert's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Mary Lou would like to thank Trina, the palliative nurse from Hartford Hospital as well as the hospital's Hospice Team. The support they provide the people in their care is priceless. Memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society.
