Robert J. Kerin

Robert "Bob" Kerin passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 21st, with his loving family by his side. Bob was born to parents Edward and Josephine (Karlsen) Kerin. He grew up in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School in 1972. He married the love of his life, Randi in 1982, where they settled in Manchester and raised two children. Bob worked in the airspace industry for his entire career and he loved every minute of his work. After his retirement, you could catch Bob cruising around town, feeding wildlife and enjoying the occasional sip of yukon jack. Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 43 years, Randi Kerin of Manchester, his two loving children, Jonathan Kerin of Manchester, Jill (Kerin) Gezelman and her husband Mark of Somers. He is also survived by his two loving grandchildren Ava and Robert, and also his two best friends David Gebel and Peter Greissle. Bob will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Calling hours will be held at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W Center Street, Manchester, CT 06040 on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at East Cemetery in Manchester. Bright colors encouraged, Hawaiian shirts acceptable; suits not required. Flowers or a charitable donation in Bob's memory would be kindly appreciated.
