Rose Manzi Pino Obituary

Rose Rita Manzi Pino, daughter of the late Carmela Lostritto Manzi and Peter William Manzi passed away on June 15, 2025 in New Haven, CT. The beloved sister of Marie M. Affinito and Jo-Ann M Messina. Sister-in-law of Clem Affinito and the late Louis Messina. She leaves to mourn her, nephew Michael Affinito (Dawn), niece Laura Messina, and nephew Salvatore Messina, great nieces and nephews Alicia LaFemina (Tom), Christopher Affinito (Megan), Esther and Lydia Messina, and Adelina LaFemina.Rose Rita, as her mother and close family and friends called her, was born in New Haven, CT on April 24, 1943. She attended local schools and graduated from Wilbur Cross High School, class of 1961. Rose was formerly married to the late Peter Pino. After marrying, she resided in Philadelphia, PA, Nashua, NH, and for a lengthy time in Piscataway, NJ. Rose made many friends while working at United Nuclear and Philips Corporation. She had life-long friendships with Pauline, Marty and Milly, and Jaye, as well as many others here in Connecticut and New Jersey.Rose will be remembered for her many thoughtful kindnesses and wonderful sense of humor. Special thanks to the staff of Chatham PlaceFamily and friends are invited to a Parlor Service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Friday morning at 10:00 and are also invited to committal services at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
