So sorry to hear that Sam has passed. I will always remember her joy and wander at camp all those years ago. It is truly wonderful to hear that she lived a full and giving life. My thoughts are with her beautiful family during this time.

I always smile when I think of Sam! She had an exuberant smile and energy to match. I remember caring for her during her chemo rounds. Life threw Sam many blows at Sam during her life but she graciously took each challenge in her "Sam Way". Her laughter will be missed in the halls of CT Children´s and the "haunts" of her beloved hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

Sammy was a force of nature. I was so honored to be her school nurse....and friend. My fondest memories are of our 8th grade trip to Washington DC with her.....she was such a trooper and enjoyed every minute of seeing Philadelphia and DC....she was a human sponge soaking up all the history from both places and enjoying the tie away with her fiends. My deepest sympathies to her friends and family.

I feel extremely fortunate that I had the opportunity to work with Sam as her biology teacher. She would sit up front right next to my desk and we would strike up many conversations. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always shared her life experiences with grace and positivity. I am absolutely devastated that she is gone. The world has lost a very special human being. Sending all my love to your family, especially to Michelle.
