Mr. Samuel "Sam" Lopez, 47, of Waterbury, passed away Monday, June 28, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital. Samuel was born October 4, 1977 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Samuel Lopez and Luz María Vicente. Samuel enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his cars around town. "Sam" worked at the Bronx Terminal Market for the past 5 years as a custodian. Sometimes right after work, he would go to the beach and enjoy the waves. The beach was his escape from reality. His love for cars was undeniable. His eyes sparkled when he mentioned cars. "Sam" will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Samuel leaves behind to cherish his memory nine children; Samantha Lopez, Stephanie Lopez, Samuel Lopez, Steven Lopez, Samia Lopez, Samuel Lopez Jr., Giovanni Lopez, Mercedes Lopez, Isaiah Lopez all of Waterbury, 9 grandchildren, 3 siblings, 2 brothers in law, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
