Santha Kuracz Obituary
Santha "Sandy" (Sedor) Kuracz, 87, of Rockledge, FL, formerly of East Granby, beloved wife for 36 years of the late Stanley Paul Kuracz, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Sandy was born in Harford, daughter of the late Stanley Sedor, Sr. and Anna (Banas) Sedor, and graduated from Windsor High School, Class of 1956. She was employed with the Bloomfield Police Department Records Division and retired after over 36 years of dedicated service. Sandy was a faithful communicant of St. Bernard's Church in Tariffville until its closing and celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield before moving to Florida to be closer to her son, Paul, in 2020.
Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend. She will fondly be remembered as a kind and caring woman who loved her family more than anything. She taught her son the value of their Catholic faith, family, devotion to hard work, being a caring person to others, the importance of hospitality, and to speak up to defend yourself and others. Sandy was an amazing mother who attended all his events and supported his dreams. She had a wonderful sense of humor, was quick witted, and would go out of her way to help anyone in need.
Sandy loved to cook and bake and taught Paul the importance of showing love through cooking for others. She enjoyed gardening, yardwork, feeding the birds and squirrels, and watching soap operas, better known as "her stories." Sandy also enjoyed taking road trips or visiting family or friends and with longtime friend, Conrad Therrien, and they often traveled to Florida to see family, but especially loved going to Daytona to see Bike Week or Biketoberfest.
Sandy leaves a legacy of beautiful memories that will live in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
